This is the top view from a Thai monastery that Cherry and I visited last week.
I like the architecture because it shows the unique amalgamation of Thai and Chinese elements. The roof in the foreground is in Chinese style, while the buildings in the background are Thai.
Watching how two such radically different oriental styles can co-exist in harmony makes me wonder: what did our ancestors know that now we seem to have forgotten?
